In the depths of absolute silence

Cedar, oak, pear and apricot, all these are available in a small hilly village at an altitude of 1800m by the name of Khirsu. The view of the snow peak is quite captivating. A few kilometers before entering Khirsu, nature on both sides of the road tells us that we have entered a secluded part of the Himalayas. The car stopped at the premises of the tourist residence of Garowal Mandal Development Corporation. The ever-snowing peaks of the Himalayas can be seen in front.

After lunch, when the tourists were on the lawn of the accommodation, the light of the midday sun was shining brightly on a snowy mountain. Across the horizon, a heavenly light mixed with blue and white is hovering over the icebergs. But alas, the tourists are not aware of that. They were just sitting on the lawn and playing cards. Next to Khirsur College was a big playground. Next to it is the Ghantakarna temple. From there, one can see the peak of Chaukhamba, which is about 23,000 feet high, like the Greek god Zeus, observing the village of Khirsu from the kingdom of his blue heaven. In the afternoon, there was a collection of apple, pear, apricot, caraway, tur, birch, cedar, etc. in the garden of the forest department.

Sometimes from the gap between the trees Chaukhamba, Kedarnath or Sumeru mountains peek through. This is a walking lane around the garden. There were also many seats. It seems that the light of dawn is shining everywhere in the world and just before evening sets in, bird chirps can be heard. Sitting quietly, I saw many beautiful Himalayan birds are returning home. Choukhambar’s forehead felt the touch of the setting sun. The next morning, when I came to the courtyard of the tourist residence, the silence of the sky seemed to be trembling with the emotion of the light. Then the light of Sabita spread to the top of the hill. Waves of light rush to the tops of Chaukhamba, Sumeru, Kedarnath, Gangotri etc. The light of Sabita spreads from Sanu to Sanu in the air. Khirsu is only 19 km away from Pauri in the northern district. Khirsu can be reached by bus or car from Haridwar. Only those who want to immerse themselves in the depths of the Himalayas may come here.
