Bankura Bishnupur’s Jaipur Jungle – Lost in the midst of nature.

For people that love jungle, you are in the right place, just only 14kms away from Bankura Bishnupur is Jaipur Jungle. Bishnupur is a temple city and a sanctuary of music. Kusum, Shimul, Teak, Shawl, Mahua are lined up on either side of the black pitch road. This jungle is covered with unearthly greenery.

Elephants walk across this road. You can see them welcome you in the jungle. In the middle of the jungle you will come across deer, elephants, forest pigs, peacocks, foxes and many more. You will also see Santal women come to the forest to collect wood and grazing cattles. By being friends with them and eating the food brought by them, you can go deeper into the jungle and into the inner circle of the unseen world in the jungle. You might as well be able to use them as your guide as it can be pretty dangerous to enter an unknown jungle without a guide.

The Forest Ranger office is in the middle of the Jungle and along side is the road, canal and the Watch Tower. If go a little farther you will find Banlata Resort. A very old runway.
